Highlights of Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour (12 days with trekking)

12 Days Itinerary for Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour with Trek

When you arrive at KTM, our team will welcome you and take you to your hotel. As you know, we will take you to a 3-star hotel where you will be staying.

We will brief you about the Everest Base camp trek with helicopter return and host a grand welcome dinner of Nepali cuisine to enjoy.

You will fly early to Lukla, where the flight will be iconic and thrilling. After 30 minutes of flight, you will land in Lukla. After landing, you will trek for 3-4 hours to reach Phakding village.

There will be suspension bridges and picturesque villages along your way. After crossing them, you will reach Phakding Village, where we will stay for the night.

Enjoy your breakfast and be prepared for today. We will trekking for 6-7 hours to reach the beautiful village of Namche Bazar. We will walk along the Dodh Koshi River, with waterfalls along the trail.

You will cross the famous Hillary Bridge. After crossing Monjo, you will enter the Sagarmatha National Park area, where your permits will be checked. As you reach Namche Bazar, you will be amazed to have reached so close to Everest. We will stay at Namche Bazar for the night.

Another beautiful day of our Everest Base Camp Trek starts. But today, we will rest in Namche Bazar. Acclimatization is essential while trekking in high altitudes, but we won’t be idle.

You will explore the Sherpa Museum, Namche Monastery and the local markets. But the important activity today is to trek for 3 hours to reach Hotel Everest View (3,880 meters), where you can see beautiful vistas of Mountain peaks. We will return to Namche for an overnight stay.

You will start your trekking after enjoying the breakfast. With anticipation building up as you ascent, the air will start getting thinner. But don’t let a slightly challenging path discourage you.  We will reach today’s trek destination in 5 to 6 hours.

The landscape explodes with stunning views of Everest, Ama Dablam and countless other Peaks. When you reach Tengboche village, nestled amidst mountain ranges, the sight will blow your mind. The ancient monastery walls whisper the tales of the past, and you will hear chants from monks, making this a spiritual heaven.

You will embark on a journey to Dingboche from the spiritual heaven of Tengboche. The distance is more than 11 kilometers and the trek will take 5 to 6 hours. You will climb further along your way, so keep your eyes out for Yak, which is common in the Everest region.

You can visit the stupa in Dingboche.

Day 7 is dedicated to acclimatization, allowing your body to adjust to higher altitudes. But as you may have guessed, we will hike to Nangkartshang Peak at 5080 meters, where a panoramic view of Mount Everest is seen.

Even if you opt out of the hike, you can explore Dingboche Village. Take a walk, rest in the tea house or read a book with a heartwarming background.

At a distance of 10 km from Dingboche, our trek destination for today is Lobuche. As we gain altitude, the trail becomes challenging yet rewarding. You can view Glacier along the snow-capped Himalayas along the path as we reach our destination.

Reaching Lobuche is an excellent achievement in itself. It’s a small village that serves as a base camp for climbers on their quest to “Conquer Pimori.” The accomplishment and anticipation feelings for the next day will keep you excited.

Today is a day filled with the highlights of the trek. Our goal is Everest Base Camp. We will warm up our bodies and hike for 6 to 7 hours, viewing Khumbu Glacier's breathtaking vistas.

Imagine reaching the legendary Everest Base camp, a temporary settlement bustling with climbers and adventurers from all over the globe. Soak in the feeling of the accomplishment you have achieved.

Your excitement will turn to calmness as you watch the awe-inspiring view of Everest and the Khumbu icefall glistering in the distance. We will hike to a higher altitude to Gorekshep at 5,165 meters for the night stay.

Today is a day filled with jaw-dropping scenery and long-lasting memories. You have to rise before the dawn and hike towards Kala Patthar. You will climb a challenging steep and have a surreal view of surroundings with larger-than-life glaciers.

What’s so unique about hiking in the early morning, you may think? That answer lies in reaching the viewpoint early.  You will witness Everest bathed in golden light as the sun rises from behind Everest, creating a silhouette for people watching.

After descending to Gorekshep, you will enjoy a well-deserved breakfast and board a shared helicopter. Wave farewell to the mountains that brought new insights about yourself before heading to Lukla and then KTM to stay for the night.

This day will be dedicated to exploring the ancient temples of the Kathmandu Valley. You will be accompanied by our expert guide, who will tour you around Kathmandu sites.

If anything piques your interest during the tour,  ask our guide. He will provide you with the details.

Bidding farewell after we made bonds on the trek will be bittersweet. But as we part ways, we not only carry the stories of our adventure but also the friendship we forged in the shadows of the Mountains.

You can shop around KTM to take souvenirs for your family and friends. We will transport you to the international airport for departure, from where you will continue on your next chapter of life.
